SC&amp;A has a new exhibit that highlights elements of the dramatic changes that took place during this decade using materials from the collections. The exhibit is divided into three parts: <em>Popular Literature<\/em>, <em>American Life<\/em>, and <em>Politics and the Cold War<\/em>. There is a physical exhibit located outside the department in Fenwick Library in addition to the online version we created using <a href=\"http:\/\/omeka.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Omeka <\/a>software. The primary collections featured in the exhibit include: The <a href=\"http:\/\/sca.gmu.edu\/finding_aids\/mcnamara.html\" target=\"_blank\">Francis McNamara Papers<\/a>, the <a href=\"http:\/\/sca.gmu.edu\/rare_books.htm\" target=\"_blank\">Rare Book Collection<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/sca.gmu.edu\/finding_aids\/apta.html\" target=\"_blank\">American Public Transportation Association<\/a> (APTA) Records, the <a href=\"http:\/\/sca.gmu.edu\/finding_aids\/mcdonnell.html\" target=\"_blank\">James McDonnell Transportation Collection<\/a>, and the <a href=\"http:\/\/sca.gmu.edu\/exhibit\/atkins_1.htm\" target=\"_blank\">Oliver Atkins Photograph Collection<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The online exhibit can be found here: <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/9xwTvL\">http:\/\/bit.ly\/9xwTvL<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The 1960s is regarded as one of the most turbulent times in recent history.
