However, did you know that SCRC also carries artists’ books? An artists’ book is a work of art created in the form of a book, although not always. Many can look like a traditional book but some can be all different shapes and sizes, from tiny cubes to big tower constructions. At SCRC you can access artist books on a variety of subjects. These objects really intersect many different topics such as science, art, history, social justice, and cultural studies.<\/p>\n
<img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-9018\" data-attachment-id=\"9018\" data-permalink=\"https:\/\/vault217.gmu.edu\/?attachment_id=9018\" data-orig-file=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/vault217.gmu.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/book-cover-scaled.jpg?fit=2560%2C2357&ssl=1\" data-orig-size=\"2560,2357\" data-comments-opened=\"1\" data-image-meta=\"{"aperture":"1.8","credit":"","camera":"moto g(6) (XT1925DL)","caption":"","created_timestamp":"1579096383","copyright":"","focal_length":"3.95","iso":"389","shutter_speed":"0.041666666666667","title":"","orientation":"1"}\" data-image-title=\"book cover\" data-image-description=\"\" data-image-caption=\"<p>PM4466.Z95 E533 2005<\/p>\n\" data-medium-file=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/vault217.gmu.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/book-cover-scaled.jpg?fit=240%2C221&ssl=1\" data-large-file=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/vault217.gmu.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/book-cover-scaled.jpg?fit=300%2C276&ssl=1\" class=\" wp-image-9018\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/vault217.gmu.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/book-cover.jpg?resize=361%2C332&ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"361\" height=\"332\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/vault217.gmu.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/book-cover-scaled.jpg?resize=300%2C276&ssl=1 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/vault217.gmu.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/book-cover-scaled.jpg?resize=240%2C221&ssl=1 240w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/vault217.gmu.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/book-cover-scaled.jpg?resize=768%2C707&ssl=1 768w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/vault217.gmu.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/book-cover-scaled.jpg?resize=1536%2C1414&ssl=1 1536w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/vault217.gmu.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/book-cover-scaled.jpg?resize=2048%2C1886&ssl=1 2048w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/vault217.gmu.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/book-cover-scaled.jpg?w=1800&ssl=1 1800w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 361px) 100vw, 361px\" \/><\/a>
Cover of “Incantations by Mayan Women”, PM4466 .Z95 E533 2005, Special Collections Research Center.
