S<\/span>pecial Collections Research Center at George Mason University is the home to a plethora of classic literature and unique literary treasures. Sometimes, the literary classics are made to be unique treasures due to their exquisite design and rarity. The best example of this phenomenon is the Franklin Library collection, donated to SCRC by Mrs. Harriet Glenney in memory of Mr. Robert J. Glenney.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The books in this collection are fabulously bound in full leather with 22 karat gold decoration and gilded endpaper\u00a0<\/span>\u2014<\/span>\u00a0looking quite distinguished on our shelves. Additional features include a sewn-in ribbon marker and pages. SCRC is lucky to have the Franklin Library 100 Greatest Books of All Time. Not only do these books look gorgeous lined together, but it allows SCRC to have access to the literary classics that define past, present, and future literature from around the world.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
